Lapeer Downtown Concert Series
The Lapeer County Concert Choir is actively involved in performing in other venues throughout the area in an addition to our home concerts. In the past, the choir has participated in the Flint Festival of Choirs sponsored by the Carolyn Mawby Chorale, performed for the opening pre-game ceremonies for the Flint Firebirds Ice Hockey Team, and presented summer concerts for the Lapeer Downtown Concert Series.
Once again, on Thursday evening, June 22, 2017, the choir has been invited to participate in the Lapeer Downtown Concert Series. The choir’s concert is entitled “An American Celebration.” The concert will be a celebration of our American grassroots music heritage featuring the music of Stephen Foster, Moses Hogan, Andre’ Thomas, and Aaron Copland. The concert will conclude with a section devoted to American patriotic music. A copy of the concert program is on the next page.
The choir looks forward to future musical opportunities in new venues. Be sure to check out the other topics and opportunities, musical and scholarship, listed within in the Community Outreach section of our website.
