The Lapeer County Concert Choir

The Lapeer County Concert Choir has been performing since 1968, known for its performances of large sacred works such as Bach's "Magnificat", Handel's "Messiah", Rutter's "Requiem", and Mozart's "Regina Coeli".

As the choir moves toward its 50th year, the goal remains to promote the advancement of choral music, and reveal the healing power of voices united in song.

If you wish to join us, we rehearse on Monday nights in Lapeer at the Trinity Methodist Church.

Spring Season Begins

Feb 5, 2018

Our spring season begins in a couple of weeks on Monday, February 5, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with rehearsals at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer.

Our spring concert program is entitled, "A Season to Celebrate Life and Faith." New singers and former members are invited to join us. The two major works for this program include "Fern Hill" a musical setting of Dylan Thomas' poem by the American composer John Corigliano and "Songs of Faith" by Paul Basler. Additional concert selections include Randall Thompson;s "Alleluia," "Even When He Is Silent" by Kim Andre' Arnesen" a work premiered by the St. Olaf Choir, and our encore selection is Mack Wilberg's setting of "Amazing Grace" with a bagpipe introduction.

I hope you will join us as we come together to sing and continue our tradition of excellence in choral singing.
