The Lapeer County Concert Choir

The Lapeer County Concert Choir has been performing since 1968, known for its performances of large sacred works such as Bach's "Magnificat", Handel's "Messiah", Rutter's "Requiem", and Mozart's "Regina Coeli".

As the choir moves toward its 51th year, the goal remains to promote the advancement of choral music, and reveal the healing power of voices united in song.

If you wish to join us, we rehearse on Monday nights in Lapeer at the Trinity Methodist Church.

The Lapeer County Concert Choir is proud to announce Isabel Huffaker as the recipient of its 2019/2020 Music Scholarship.  The purpose of the scholarship is to promote and encourage a lifelong participation in choral singing.  The scholarship is available to members of the choir pursuing a college or technical degree with special consideration given to those considering or pursuing music studies.

Isabel is beginning her college career this fall attending Mott Community College on the Lapeer campus.  She joined the Lapeer County Concert Choir for the 2019 spring season and will be singing with the choir for the 2019 fall season preparation and performance of Handel’s Messiah.  During the choir’s 2017 fall season Isabel played auxiliary percussion for the Christmas concerts.  Isabel’s passion for singing and her smile are wonderful additions to the choir.  Congratulations Isabel!
